About

I'm Richie Kastl. I run technology for businesses that can't afford to get it wrong.

Richie Kastl

I started this practice because I kept meeting the same frustrated owner. They had a strategy deck from a fractional CTO who never built anything, a stack of agency invoices nobody could vouch for, and a website that quietly did nothing. Good people, real revenue, and no one who actually owned the technology their business ran on.

For two decades I've been that owner. Manufacturers, media companies, e-commerce brands across the US, always as the person accountable when the platform has to stay up, the site has to rank, and the numbers have to land. That stretch taught me a belief the whole practice runs on: technology should be an asset that compounds, not a bill that recurs, and the person who decides it should also be able to build it. Judgment without execution is just opinion.

I work from Ohio, serve clients nationwide, and keep the roster deliberately short. Every seat belongs to a multi-million-dollar company, every engagement gets a senior operator, and there's no junior team to get handed to.

Track record

Manufacturing platform

Built and operate the web platform a mid-sized metal fabricator credits with $23M in sales pipeline, all of it inbound.

Fortune 100 supplier

Web infrastructure that helped a manufacturer close a $10M contract with a Fortune 100 consumer electronics OEM.

Media replatform

A WordPress-to-headless rebuild serving 398K+ users and 789K page views, holding steady at 18K concurrent visitors at peak.

Programmatic SEO at scale

Took a developer-education platform to 4 million search impressions in a single month, including the #1 result for a term that gets 240,000 searches a month. Content systems that compound.

Where this is going

The model is deliberately small: a handful of multi-million-dollar companies, each with one executive who runs their technology and ships to production every week. I'd rather go deep for a few than thin for many.

Two seats are open right now. When they fill, the next one opens whenever a contract ends. If your business runs on technology and no one owns it, that's the conversation to have.

How I work

Revenue math first

Every recommendation comes with the dollars attached: what it costs, what it should return, and when. If the math doesn't work, I'll say so.

Systems over heroics

I build things that run without me: documented, monitored, automated. When we part ways, you keep a working asset and the manual for it.

Straight answers

You'll hear "you don't need this" from me more often than any agency will ever say it. Trust is the entire product.
